| An adaptation of Crime and Punishment. Two very different characters, a wealthy doctor and a documentarian, lead quietly similar lives even though very little happens to them in common. The documentarian’s marriage is failing and he is falling for a beautiful and intelligent woman who won’t fall for him even though she loves him. The doctor’s marriage is strong, though his mistress won’t accept that their affair has ended and threatens to reveal the iindiscretions to his family. He takes drastic measures to prevent this, and despite his strong moral character and horror at what he’s done, learns to accept his crimes. | ||||||||||||||||||||
